The article examines the theoretical and applied
aspects of developing a competence-based model for the pro-
fessional training of modern educators in the context of the
educational space transformation. It is noted that the rapid
development of digital technologies, globalization, and the
introduction of artificial intelligence require a revision of
approaches to teacher training. The study presents a com-
parative analysis of various interpretations of the concept of
a competencebased model, considering both its narrow and
broad understandings, as well as the stages of designing and
implementing such a model at the level of educational pro-
grams. The competence model of a teacher is viewed as a set
of professional and personal qualities that ensure their read-
iness for effective work in a digital educational environment, as well as for the implementation of individual educational
trajectories for students. Particular attention is paid to the
analysis of the regulatory and legal framework of the Russian
Federation, including federal state educational standards
and professional standards that define the key competences
of a modern teacher. The author emphasizes the need to
integrate media literacy, digital pedagogy, a projectbased
approach, and critical thinking into the structure of the com-
petence model. Special emphasis is placed on the importance
of the educational aspect of a teacher’s professional activi-
ty, aimed at fostering civic identity, patriotism, spiritual and
moral values, and the cultural identity of the younger gen-
eration. The article highlights the challenges and prospects
for improving existing models, taking into account the require-
ments of a sovereign system of higher pedagogical education
based on national priorities. The conclusion is drawn that
a comprehensive approach is necessary for developing a com-
petence model of a teacher capable of effectively responding
to the challenges of the modern educational environment and
contributing to the development of students’ key competences
in line with the priorities of state educational policy. |
