The presented material is devoted to the study
of the effectiveness of organizing career guidance work among
adolescents with hearing impairments. The paper examines mod-
ern approaches to career guidance for this category of adolescents,
as well as analyzes the methods and tools used to enhance their
professional competence and social adaptation. The paper identi-
fies the main socio-psychological challenges faced by adolescents
with hearing impairments, such as speech impairments, high or low selfesteem, insecurity, difficulty making choices, lack of knowledge
about professions, and low motivation to pursue their own goals.
The authors evaluate existing programs and practices, iden-
tify their strengths and weaknesses, and offer recommendations
for optimizing career guidance activities, taking into account the
specific features of the psychophysical development of adoles-
cents with hearing impairments. The article presents the results
of an empirical study, which includes surveys, interviews, and
observations, allowing for conclusions about the effectiveness
of the implemented measures. The study includes an analysis
of work with parents (legal representatives) of this category of
children, which allows for a comprehensive assessment of the
effectiveness of career guidance work from different perspec-
tives, as it includes components aimed at developing cognitive
interests, expanding knowledge about professions, and opportu-
nities for achieving certain professional goals.
The purpose of the work is to expand the opportunities for
professional self-determination and adaptation in modern soci-
ety for adolescents with hearing impairments through better
and more extensive career guidance. The data obtained during
the work will become valuable resources for teachers of psy-
chological and pedagogical support, allowing them to create
effective strategies and supportive programs. |
