In Russian education, considerable attention is giv-
en to the development of logical thinking and the integration of
modern educational technologies into the learning process of pri-
mary school children. This issue has become so relevant that the
impact of educational technologies on the development of logical
thinking in young learners has become the subject of numerous
studies. One of the effective tools for fostering logical thinking in
primary school children is the Cuboro constructor, which serves
as a propaedeutic approach to engineering education. Activities
involving the Cuboro constructor represent an innovative educa-
tional technology with unique ability to captivate children, intro-
duce them to the fundamentals of design and modeling, train spa-
tial imagination, and develop creativity‒encouraging creative,
systematic, logical, and engineering thinking. It also teaches
problemsolving of varying complexity, enhances communica-
tion skills, and fosters listening and teamwork abilities. Working
with the Cuboro constructor, which offers limitless combination
possibilities, stimulates interest in design and modeling activi-
ties, aligns with children’s capabilities and interests, and helps to
unlock the potential of gifted children.
The implementation of the Cuboro constructor at the private
secondary school Blagovest (Tolyatti, Samara Region) has fostered
the advancement of children’s cognitive activity in the classroom,
providing a foundational platform for applying pedagogical exper-
tise. The results obtained indicate positive changes in the develop-
ment of logical preengineering thinking among students and the
need to continue working with them on the formation of technical
skills with sufficiently high results. Most of the tasks of Cuboro
technology are designed for teamwork. This is a very difficult and
important moment in working with the Cuboro constructor for pri-
mary school students. Therefore, another recommended area of
work with students in the future may be the formation of interper-
sonal skills, training the ability to work in a team. |
