Annotation: The article discusses the problem of optimizing the strength training of Brazilian jiu-jitsu wrestlers, taking into account the specifics of the technical and tactical actions performed by athletes aged 14-15. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the need for differentiated development of strength abilities depending on the technique of performing a combat move and to develop practical recommendations for coaches based on this. The study involved 12 wrestlers with the rank of Candidate Master of Sports, who were competing in the KMS program. The study was conducted at the Artem Artemyev Wrestling School in St. Petersburg. We used control exercises to assess strength training (pull-ups, planks, push-ups, standing long jump, and incline sit-ups) and a non-contact video analysis method using the Kinovea program at a shooting frequency of 240 frames per second. Statistical analysis was conducted using the StatTech v. 4.14.3 program. Correlation analysis showed that the tests were selectively informative regarding the time parameters of combat techniques. There was a significant negative correlation between push-ups and the time of the choke with a turnover (r = −0.639), a high negative correlation between the plank and the time of the armbar choke (r = −0.802), and a high negative correlation between the long jump and the time of the flip from guard using a shin mount (r = −0.722). The results indicate that different techniques require the development of different physical qualities, which provides a scientific basis for differentiated strength training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
