One of the key laboratory works in mechanics
is the experimental determination of the coefficient of restitution
of solids. A review of domestic and foreign sources suggests
that information technology tools are often used to record
the process of laboratory work, but the importance of processing
experimental data using appropriate software is not noted.
In the context of digitalization of engineering education,
there is a need to use digital tools for statistical data analysis.
This makes it possible to increase the accuracy and reliability
of the results of laboratory work on the theory of impact.
The authors of the article have developed a program
for processing experimental data in Python. This software
allows you to perform interactive data entry with verification
of their correctness, mathematical calculation and output
of results with verification of their reliability. The article suggests
a methodology for conducting laboratory work on the theory
of impact, which includes three stages: preparatory, experimental,
statistical and interpretative.
To identify an increase in the effectiveness of laboratory
work, 197 students from the Berezniki branch of Perm National
Research Polytechnic University were involved. Based
on the developed criteria, the students were divided into three
levels (low, medium, and high). Statistical data processing was
performed using Pearson’s χ2-criterion. The approbation confirmed
the effectiveness of the developed methodology for conducting
laboratory work to determine the coefficient of restitution
upon impact of solids.
The article identifies promising areas in the development
of methods for conducting laboratory work on the theory
of impact. The methodology of laboratory work to determine
the coefficient of restitution can be recommended to physics
teachers of higher technical educational institutions. |
