The article substantiates the pedagogical technology
focused on the formation of musical culture of university
students through the appeal to modern genres of popular music.
In the course of the research, the author’s pedagogical technology
was created and experimentally tested — an optional
(elective/special) course “Mindful listening: a guide to modern
genres of popular music”, aimed at a consistent transition
from passive musical consumption to meaningful cultural
action.
A diagnostic tool has been developed — a Rubricator
of the artistic and value quality of popular music, which translates
aesthetic judgment about musical works into a clearly organized and reasoned form; it allows determining the initial
parameters of musical readiness of students and tracing
the dynamics as technology is introduced. The experimental
study demonstrated the effectiveness of the developed methodology:
the participants of the experimental group achieved
a significant increase in results, while in the control group there
were only minor fluctuations in indicators.
The proposed methodological recommendations are practice-
oriented and can be integrated into the structure of existing
university educational programs without a radical revision
of the curriculum. The conducted tests allowed us to verify
the hypothesis that the purposeful introduction of modern
genres of popular music into the educational process is a significant
factor in the formation of musical culture of students,
while contributing to their spiritual, moral and patriotic education.
The proposed measures are aimed at developing aesthetic
taste, the ability to valueandmeaning reflection, the development
of stable musical preferences, the skill of resisting mass cliches;
at the same time, they form a willingness to cultural and educational
practice, strengthening spiritual, moral and patriotic attitudes.
Further work is related to the adaptation of the course to
various educational profiles and areas of higher school education. |
