The study explores the rationale for using digital
educational technologies as a factor in developing selfeducation
competence in cadets of educational institutions
of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The theoretical
significance lies in systematizing scientific understanding
of pedagogical mechanisms for organizing self-education activities
in the context of the digital transformation of education,
as well as in revealing the content of pedagogical conditions
that contribute to sustainable motivation for independent learning,
development of cognitive activity, and effective use of digital
educational resources. The practical significance of the study
lies in developing a model for realizing the pedagogical potential of digital educational technologies and identifying
pedagogical conditions that ensure the development of the motivational-
value, cognitive, activity-based, and analytical-reflective
components of cadets’ self-education competence. The experimental
part was conducted at an educational institution
of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia with the participation
of 128 cadets (65 in the experimental group and 63
in the control group). During the study period, a set of digital
educational technologies was introduced into the educational
process of the experimental group. These included the Moodle
LMS, electronic library systems, interactive educational platforms,
digital communication tools, and generative artificial
intelligence technologies. The effectiveness of the developed
model was assessed through a comparative analysis of the levels
of self-education competence development before and after
the pedagogical experiment, using statistical processing
of the results. The obtained results indicate a statistically significant
increase in the experimental group’s indicators compared
to those of the control group, expressed in an increased proportion
of students with high and sufficient levels of self-education
competence development and a decreased number of students
with low levels of this competence. The study establishes that
increased effectiveness in the development of self-education
competence is achieved through the implementation of a set
of pedagogical conditions that include the systematic use of a digital
educational environment, the personalization of independent
learning activities, ongoing digital support for students,
and the pedagogically managed use of intelligent digital services. |
