DEVELOPING A VALUE‑BASED ATTITUDE TO PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY AMONG CONTRACT MILITARY PERSONNEL

| Annotation: | The article is devoted to the problem of developing a value‑based attitude towards professional activity among contract military personnel. In the context of the transition of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to a contract‑based recruitment system, the need is growing to foster in military personnel a stable internal stance oriented towards accepting the military profession as a personally and socially significant value. The aim of the study is to theoretically substantiate the essence and structure of the value‑based attitude, to identify pedagogical conditions, and to propose practical solutions to the problem. The methodological basis consists of axiological, personality‑activity, systemic, and existential approaches. The paper clarifies the concept of a contract soldier’s value‑based attitude towards professional activity, which is a consciously active, selectively stable internal position of the service member, manifested in a system of motives, knowledge, emotional experiences and behavioral attitudes, determining the significance of military service as a personally and socially valuable activity and regulating their professional behavior. The following characteristics are substantiated: awareness; activity; stability. A component structure is proposed: motivational‑goal, content‑process, emotional‑evaluative and resultative‑semantic components. The following set of pedagogical conditions is substantiated: integration of types of activities; actualization of the axiological content of military affairs; mentoring, reflective practices; creation of an educational environment. As an example of a practical solution to the problem, the implementation of the “Existential Club” is proposed as a form of regularly held group meetings of military personnel, structured on the principles of dialogue, subjectivity, and openness. The club’s activities are aimed at working with the existential aspects of military life (death, freedom, isolation, meaninglessness, etc.) and are structured around several thematic modules that logically unfold over time, creating an immersive effect. The article provides examples of three modules: The Price of Choice, Facing the Limit, and Comradeship as Fate. | ||
