An attempt has been made to outline the current
state of the system of civic-patriotic education in Russia.
The problem lies in identifying the ideas and reflections
on the issue that already exist in scientific literature. The goal
is to reveal the essence of the problem, focusing the search
for its solution on identifying ideas and trends in the development
of the system of civic-patriotic education in the Russian
Federation. In this regard, the features and trends of the current
state of civic-patriotic education are identified, forming
a general picture of the process. To achieve this, approaches
and the corresponding methods are used that make it
possible to analyze the pool of selected articles on the given
topic. Social, methodological, and normative contradictions
that determine the structural and functional specifics
of the emerging system of civic-patriotic education
at the school and higher education levels are taken into account.
The system of civic-patriotic education is being developed
on a multi‑level basis and has both vertical and horizontal
structures, which gives it an integrated, all‑encompassing
character. This is largely determined by methodological guidelines
and technological solutions. The content of the formulations
of the fundamental concepts of patriotism, civic consciousness,
and civic-patriotic education is examined; the differences
in the authors’ positions in this area of youth socialization are analyzed. Based on the presented analysis, the leading ideas,
features, and main trends in the development of various models
of civic-patriotic education are identified. Authors’ growing
interest in a wide range of military‑patriotic education
as a structural component of civic‑patriotic education is noted.
This system is most poorly developed at the level of higher
education. The results of the analysis of the current state
of the emerging system of civic-patriotic education are applicable
for further use in preparing articles, developing thematic
projects, and creating programs for additional professional
education. |
