METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO RUSSIAN CORPORATIONS’ CLASSIFICATION

Different conceptual understanding of the term “corporation” is connected with a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches of the authors investigating this problem. The article has reviewed the methodological approaches to the interpretation of the category “corporation”, while the special attention has been paid to the legal and economic aspects of this notion. On the basis of analysis and generalization of existing qualitative and quantitative criteria for classification of national corporations the author defines the advantages and disadvantages of used criteria. The classification features, taken as a principle of selection of different types of corporations functioning in the modern Russian economy, have been systematized.
