The issue of improving of the population life quality promotes the enhanced search for the modern ways of its solution. The article has paid attention to the fact that business as the most interested in ensuring the competitiveness of companies should implement measures aimed at improving the life quality. The basic idea of the article is to denote the social responsibility of business as an instrument regulating the population life quality. The author has provided some aspects of development of socially responsible behavior of business and believed that the regional authority activity at the local level is required for implementation of the social responsibility of business. The recommendations for the further formation of the social responsibility of business have been provided at the conclusion of the article.
