THE ISSUE OF NATIONAL EDUCATION AND UPBRINGING IN PEDAGOGICAL HERITAGE OF THE PROMINENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE «FIRST WAVE» OF RUSSIAN EMIGRATION V. V. ZENKOVSKY

The article reviews the issue of the Russian children national upbringing and education under the conditions of emigration. In this connection the great attention is paid to V. V. Zenkovsky’s point of view, the prominent representative of Russian foreignness. The main goal of national education he saw in keeping the ‘Russian’ of children in emigration and in preparing them to the service to the Motherland. The special attention in his works he paid to preventing ‘denationalization’ and affirming ‘Russia’ as the basis of the content of national education in Russian schools. The study of this heritage is of great interest for resolution of the modern issues of keeping national traditions in the conditions of the nearest foreign countries.
