AS A BASIC STEP IN THE STUDY OF DISCOURSE OF MIGRANTS

| Annotation: | The article has been written within the frame of discourse linguistics. The author is interested in the reconstruction of individual discourse picture of the world of the migrant. For this purpose he has referred to the thematic analysis of a single discourse having reviewed it as the original and required step for the subsequent in-depth analysis and description of the specifics of the migrants discourse. The article has demonstrated the mechanism of step-by-step thematic analysis of the migrant discourse based on the methodology of the Grounded Theory: open coding, axial coding and selective coding. The author has demonstrated the potential of the computer software MaxQDA for the thematic analysis of the migrant discourse. |
