On the basis of statistical data the demographic situation in Volgograd region in 2011 has been examined, which is characterized by both positive and negative trends. Despite of the pretty high index of infant mortality in line with the low level of fertility, some decrease of the rate of the Volgograd region population reduction in 2010–2011 was observed, including able to work population. This was supported by the reasonable policy in the area of health care pursued by the Volgograd regional authorities. |
