| Annotation: | The article discloses the system of evaluation of innovation activity of the region, which consists of the innovation activities of the economic units. It reveals the criteria of absolute and relative innovation activity; justifies the connection between the innovation potential of the region and innovation activity. The levels of the obvious and latent innovation activity are also defined in the article. Additionally, the author determines the results of the increase of innovation activity and the influence of the competition on the innovation activity in the region, and proposes the basic recommendations for the regional authorities for increasing the innovation activity of the regional economic units. |
