DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF VOLGOGRAD REGION IN THE CONDITIONS OF RUSSIA’S JOINING THE WTO: ISSUES AND PROSPECTS

The article reveals the agrarian aspects of Russia’s joining the World trade organization: the positive and negative sides have been presented; the issues of agricultural products trading have been discussed; the Russia’s obligations and the issues of the state support of agriculture have been reviewed. The peculiarities of development of agrarian sector of Volgograd region and the way of its long-term development in the context of regional food safety and the regional agricultural products competitiveness have been determined. The mechanism of adaptation of the regulation system has been proposed for development of the regional agrarian market, including the number of directions, among which are the establishing of logistic centers, personnel re-training, support of small-size economies, initialization of activity for establishing and implementation of the innovation-investment projects.
