Annotation: |
The article is devoted to the analysis of the criminal law of Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Germany and Japan with an emphasis on the system of punishment. It also looks at main and supplementary ways of punishment according to the legislation of the countries stated above. Additionally to this, the article defines similarities and differences of the system of punishment existing in Russia with the one of the other countries. The recommendation is given to the legislative power regarding the necessity of further improvement of the system of punishment in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation taking into consideration the experience of foreign countries as well. For example, regarding reduction of the quantity of the basic types of punishment and increase of the number of the supplementary types. |
