Annotation:

The scientific approaches to studying the formation process of the leadership position of students of the secondary professional educational institutions are examined in the article. Currently, there is the problem of the blue collar professional training, which is not aimed at the development of the entire complex of knowledge, abilities and skills required for self-employment. This scientific article describes the main methodological approaches used in pedagogical science. The author focuses on the system-functional approach based on the works of N.M. Talanchuk; he reveals the essence of this approach as the functions performed by the teacher during pedagogical problem solving. The article elucidates the possibility of constructing a model of the formation of a students` leadership position at the secondary professional educational institutions on the basis of the system-functional approach.
