The paper proposes an approach to the study of competitiveness of the region as a result and benchmark of implementation of its reproductive potential. The basic conditions that determine materialization of the regional reproductive potential in its competitive advantages have been identified, namely: establishing competitive combination (target structure) of the potential components providing for their high performance with simultaneous improvement of the population welfare; adaptation of the potential components to the requirements of the competitive environment, including the intensified processes of globalization; effective institutional environment; consideration of genetic factors in formation and development of a particular area. |
