Rationing of the adequate self-appraisal of the civil servants

Annotation:

The article is devoted to the issue of definition of the notion of rationing of the adequate self-appraisal of civil servants. The author presents the existing approaches and proposes his own point of view on the concept, which development is a challenge for the modern civil service of Ukraine. The performed analysis shows that the self-esteem that is so important for professional activity of civil servants shall be formed purposefully. The performed analysis states that the low self-esteem results in excessive self-doubt; it is manifested in inadequate underestimation by the civil servants of their capabilities. They cannot provide for reliability in activities connected with appropriate decision-making in the conditions of adverse factorsinfluence, in the extreme situations, as well asin the daily activities of the public service.
