Assessment of systemic factors influencing development of small businesses in rostov region

The article examines the currently urgent issue consisting in the necessity of providing economic safety of the country in the conditions of activation of the integration processes of the national economic system into the world economic environment. The special attention is paid to development of small businesses of the region and their affect on the economic activity, as well as the leading role of external factors in the short-term and longterm prospects. Practical experience of the growing value of small businessesin the conditions of globalization is generalized, economic functions and peculiarities, as well as the value in supporting the required level of competitiveness of the regional economics. The author has performed objective and complex analysis of the region social-economic development within the frame of the WTO upon results of the first annual period.
