The trade union movement as a factor of strengthening of the economic and social environment of the independent states

This article is devoted to investigation of the process of development of the trade Union movement at the Eurasian area in the post-Soviet period, as this problem is urgent in connection with the strengthening of its socio-political status and protective functions, as well as with the growth of socioeconomic tensions. The article analyzes and systematizes the basic data of the topic, gives interpretation of various points of view on the formation and development of the trade Union movement in the Eurasian area, generalizes conclusions about the main stages. Currently, the trade Union organizations actively participate in the development of employment programs, propose measures for social protection of the workers fired as a result of restructuring or liquidation of the company, monitor employment of population and observance of the legislation in this area.
