Factors defining women position in the area of labor and employment are systemized in the article based on the gender theory examination. It is proved that the basis of gender theory is the idea that almost all differences between the sexes traditionally considered as natural are based on social reasons rather than biological ones. The article explored the features of employment of men and women, gender-based labor market characteristics, represented the factors of economic activity of men and women in the Krasnodar Territory. Based on the analysis of statistical data, it is concluded that the position of men and women in the labor market of Krasnodar Territory varies according to the level of availability of jobs and career opportunities, employers’ attitude to applicants for vacant posts, and remuneration |
