Energy efficiency,: general-theoretical aspects

This article discusses the general theoretical aspects that give characteristic of the concept of energy efficiency taking into account analysis of various scientific sources. The analysis of scientific, educational and methodological literature is done, on which basis the classification of indicators of energy efficiency assessment at all levels of the economic system is fulfilled. The article provides characteristic of interaction of energy-saving with environment protection, environmental factors that affect the energy intensity of production and its types; importance and significance of environmental factor in the system of energy conservation and efficiency is determined. Theoretical analysis of the energy efficiency indicators at macro-level (the state) is conducted, as well as evaluation of energy efficiency in the region and industry.
