SOCIO-CULTURAL ADAPTATION: THE MAIN PROBLEMS OF RESEARCH

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of socio-cultural adaptation. A basic reviewis made as for theoretical and applied research of sociocultural adaptation in social sciences. The article systematizes and analyzes approaches to the definition of socio-cultural adaptation of various authors (Shpak L. L., Stefanenko T. G., Gritsenko V. V. etc.). The key distinctive features of socio-cultural adaptation are summarized: complexity, reciprocity, activity and axiological orientation. The main levels of the research process are identified: personal one, intercultural one and economic one. The article offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of adaptation processes as the most optimal one.
