This article is an intermediate stage in the development of state and legal doctrines of the political scientists of the Russian Empire of the XIX — early XX centuries. The author analyzes dissertations, monographs and main scientific articles in the periodical scientific pre-revolutionary press which are united by a common object of research — the state (constitutional) law of foreign countries. With the help of methods of interpreting scientific legal texts and formal and logical tools, the author analyzes the thematic and methodological preferences of prerevolutionary scientists and concludes that subsequent to the results of scientific activities of political scientists the scientific knowledge of the state (constitutional) law of foreign countries begins to be formed in the prerevolutionary science of state law, but transformation thereof into a logically completed teaching does not happen. |
