POLICE SAMBO AS A TOOL OF SPECIAL PHYSICAL TRAINING OF EMPLOYEES OF THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The study is aimed at identifying the degree of permissible application of technical rules and tactics of independent struggle in the system of physical training of employees of the internal Affairs bodies in order to study combat techniques of struggle. At the present stage of development of Sambo in Russia are one of the leading and most common in the social environment of martial arts. The high degree of applied nature that permeates this type of martial art gives it certain advantages, and perhaps that is why Sambo has gained popularity abroad. Sambo owes its appearance to the Soviet past, when it was developed for the needs of the army and law enforcement agencies. Techniques and skills included in the Sambo, with their skillful use by police officers can be used as a way to protect against various seizures; knife or heavy object; protection from attack by an unarmed enemy; protection against the threat of use of weapons. In the article the authors come to the conclusion that the physical training of Russian police officers should include an updated version of the Sambo style of the Soviet era. Recently developed “police Sambo” is offered as an adequate system of martial arts for acceptance by employees of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia. Since the main purpose of police is to disarm and arrest the offender, the technique of this martial art confined mostly to grabs, throws, locks the levers and twisted the chokes. Sambo is a native Russian and the most police sport. This type of martial arts contributes to the rapid formation of such necessary properties as courage, bravery, intelligence, teaches to make informed, informed decisions in a limited time. It is very important that law enforcement officials, especially police officers, have self‑defense techniques. This should be given increased attention. If ranged combat main weapon is AK, in the middle – Sambo.
