Annotation:

The relevance of the presented research is due to the need to improve the quality of professional training of modern specialists, including graduates of military universities. The use of information and educational environment by cadets and teaching staff in the educational process, in research work provides an opportunity for activity, improving the training of cadets, for the formation of professionally significant qualities of a graduate of a military University, such as independence, responsibility for their decisions, the desire for self ‑ development. The article is devoted to the results of experimental work aimed at improving the level of training of cadets in a foreign language by means of information and educational environment at the initial stage of training in a military University. The step‑by‑step description of the methodical experiment contains criteria (perception of new information, intellectual processing of information, effectiveness), their indicators and three selected levels of training of cadets in the course of learning a foreign language in a military University (high, medium, low). The article shows the types of tasks tested at the ascertaining stage of the experiment and the criteria for their evaluation (feasibility and interest caused by the task). The description of forms of activity of cadets during experimental training at occupations and in hours of self‑preparation is resulted: activity on assimilation of new material; multilevel training; elimination of gaps in knowledge; independent variable work. Analysis of the results of the study proves the effectiveness of methods of using the information and educational environment of the Department in order to improve the training of cadets in a foreign language at the initial stage of training in a military University. The objectivity and reliability of the experimental results are proved by methods of mathematical statistics.
