Food security of countries and regions, food supply for the population of the territories and management of the food supply chain are key priority areas around the world. The food supply chain covers activities related to agricultural production, processing of agricultural products, warehousing, transportation and distribution. Despite the vital role of the food supply system for the sustainable development of any region, the developing Arctic regions of the Russian Federation face many logistical challenges. The most difficult problem in this regard is providing the population with food not only in the required quantity, but also in the required quality. Such problems that have a negative impact on the functioning of the food supply system include supplies with multiple transshipment of goods, lack of loading and unloading platforms, poor condition of vehicles, improper handling of transported products, and poor handling. Inadequate logistics infrastructure, poor demand management, an inefficient storage and distribution system, and low purchasing power are just a few of the causes of food shortages that are available to residents of the Arctic. The study attempted to formulate a conceptual model based on the theory of the critical success factor as an integrated basis for the introduction of a logistic scheme of food distribution by tracking food flows. The model is based on the identification and classification of various critical factors necessary for the formation of a conceptual model. |
