EDUCATIONAL KNOWLEDGE AT HIGHER SCHOOL: FEATURES OF MANAGEMENT PROCESS

Annotation:

The article examines the problem of specific type of knowledge created by the higher educational institutions during educational process — educational knowledge. Different approaches to definition of this type of knowledge are contemplated; the main features of educational knowledge are generalized, its differences from scientific and common types of knowledge are described. As well, authors emphasize subtypes of educational knowledge and significance of this type of knowledge for activity of higher education institution. Management process of educational knowledge is considered from the point of view of Deming’s management cycle. The authors construct the scheme of educational knowledge management in higher school; they also consider stages of management process in detail and connections of different components of the process. It’s worth noting that the process of educational knowledge management is the part of graduates’ competence management that has direct effect on their further performance on the labor market. In the article interconnections of knowledge management process and competence management process and their stages are revealed. In general the main results of the survey are as follows: more complete and precise definition of the educational knowledge; proof of its significance for university and its graduates; detailed and complete description of educational knowledge management process, its stages and features; main differences of knowledge management process and competence management process are revealed; interconnections of these two types of management processes are considered. Practical significance of the work’s results lays in opportunity of implementation of management schemes into managerial process of higher educational institution aimed at increase of educational efficiency.
