The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of regulatory readiness to master universal learning activities in older preschool children in the chess game. By the time a child enters school, they should have developed regulatory readiness to master universal learning activities. Regulatory readiness to master universal learning activities is a multicomponent formation, the core of which is the level of formation of arbitrary behavior. At the same time, we can distinguish three basic indicators of the arbitrariness of behavior, reflecting the readiness to form universal learning skills. The first one is the child’s ability to perform tasks independently, following the frontal instructions that an adult gives to a group of children at once. The second one is the ability to listen, understand an adult and accurately follow his instructions in accordance with the rule, use a sample. The third one is the level of development of stability and switching of attention. The chess game has a high potential for the formation of regulatory readiness to master universal learning activities in older preschool children. Mastering the chess game contributes to the development of arbitrary regulation of behavior. To determine the influence of the chess game on the formation of regulatory readiness for the development of universal educational skills, diagnostic work was organized and carried out. The experimental group, in which chess classes were conducted according to the author’s methodology, consisted of 128 children. The control group, in which the corresponding chess classes were not conducted, included 64 children. The results of the study showed that chess classes make a significant contribution to the formation of regulatory readiness to master universal learning activities. |
