The article examines the organization of observations and experiments at home as one of possible means of propaedeutic learning of physics at primary school. The urgency of this problem is due to the presence of a contradiction between the level of requirements for the quality of mastering the elements of physics at primary school and insufficient development of this problem in pedagogical theory and practice. A review of domestic and foreign scientific and methodological literature on the problem of physical knowledge propaedeutics among junior schoolchildren is presented. The analysis of the features of the organization of homework at primary school in Russia and abroad is carried out. The possibilities of home observations and experiments for younger schoolchildren are revealed. The motivational-diagnostic, substantive, activitybased and effective components of the model of organizing observations and experiments at home for primary schoolchildren as a means of propaedeutic learning of physics are determined. Their content is disclosed. The ways of controlling the cognitive activity of younger students within the framework of home observations and experiments are revealed. Recommendations are given to parents on their implementation. The stages of development and use of a model for organizing observations and experiments at home for younger students are presented. Methods of mathematical statistics were used to process the data obtained during the pedagogical experiment. The study shows that the use of observations and experiments at home for primary school children is an effective means of propaedeutic learning of physics. The practical significance of the research lies in the development of a system of educational tasks for the organization of observations and experiments at home for primary school students.
