The article discusses one of the conditions for the formation of cognitive interest among students of grades 5—7 in the process of studying the subject “Technology” — ensuring positive motivation for learning and work activities. The relevance of the study is associated with the intensive development of science, engineering, technology and society, which has led to changes in technology education. A decisive role in this is played by the formation of the cognitive interest of students in the process of organizing educational and labor activities. In our study, cognitive interest is understood as a positively coloured personal orientation towards cognition of the surrounding reality in the field of technology, which is based on the orientation and research reflex and the unity of emotional, intellectual, volitional manifestations of personality, founded on the thought processes. We believe that technology lessons are the most favorable for the development of the cognitive interest of schoolchildren, since, assimilating the elements of knowledge: technical, technological, economic, industrial, schoolchildren apply them in the process of direct design and technological activities, where they develop practical skills in various types of activity, primarily in the cognitive sphere (mental aspect) and labor (physical aspect). As a condition for the formation of cognitive interest among students of grades 5—7 in the process of studying the discipline “Technology”, we determined the provision of sustainable positive motivation for educational and labor activities, motivation for achieving success, the need for such activity One of the most effective motivators for shaping the learning and work experience of students in grades 5—9, as confirmed by teacher survey data and our experience, is the creation of success situation in technology lessons. |
