The strategic development of the university, which assumes as its component the improvement of the activities of student organizations, is currently a priority task facing the educational organization. One of the tools for searching for strategic development is SWOT-analysis, which, due to its universality, makes it possible to determine strategies for the development of a university student organization in the identified conditions. However, the use of this method has a significant drawback — the impossibility of complete formalization. The absence of a generally accepted quantitative method for conducting a SWOT analysis, which is an objective means of predicting the most effective conditions for the functioning of organizations, involves the development of such a method and its testing on the example of the development of a university student organization. This article presents methodological recommendations on the procedure for filling out the SWOT matrix, which reflects the factors responsible for both the success of the functioning of student self-government and the existing problems regarding microand macro-environments. The strengths and weaknesses of the development of the internal environment in which the student organization is located, as well as the opportunities and threats that are in the external environment that affect the activities of the student organization, are determined. Strategies for the development of a student organization are identified. SO strategies are identified, which consist in using the strengths of the student organization in order to maintain an “aggressive growth policy”based on favorable environmental factors; WO — defense strategies, involving the use of the strengths of the student organization to neutralize the threats of the external environment; ST — adaptation strategies, constructed in such a way that, due to the opportunities that have appeared, they try to overcome the difficulties that the student organization has; WT-survival strategies, involving the implementation of emergency measures to counteract existing external adverse factors. For each strategy, the expected results of its impact on the activities of university student teams are noted. Based on the assessment of experts, the ranking of the optimal strategies for the development of the student organization of the university is carried out. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, strategies are identified that can improve the efficiency of the student organization. |
