The article examines the problem of defining the basic principles and forms of WBL technologies in the system of higher education. The authors consider various approaches to the definition of this issue. Particular attention is paid to identifying the most promising forms of WBL technologies for use in the Russian system of higher education. In modern economic conditions, education and employment require the acquisition of new skills and abilities, taking into account professional experience and knowledge. The effectiveness of the educational services mostly depends on the extent of their development and quality. WBL-technologies that are used in higher education play a significant role in this. The paper identifies the problems that can be solved with the use of these technologies. Work based learning is seen as learning through receiving professional training outside the classroom of an educational organization using a variety of methods. The use of WBL technologies in the process of production and implementation of educational services in the higher education system will solve such problems as the discrepancy between the quality and content of training to the needs of the labor market; fragmentation of interaction with representatives of stakeholders, and, as a consequence, limited impact on the activities of universities; weak practical training of graduates. Practical training of students focused on the business processes of organizations is also a promising area of training with the use of WBL technologies, which can be implemented based on the principles of the process approach [1]. The improvement of educational services in the higher education system should be systematic and continuous in order to ensure the quality of training. Modern technologies of educational activity with an innovative component play an important role in these processes. |
