The article is devoted to formation of vocal skills among students in a polycultural educational environment in the course of studying round dance and lyrical songs. An analysis of modern pedagogical research has shown that a multicultural educational environment is aimed at developing students’ readiness for interethnic and intercultural interaction and includes an artistic and educational environment that ensures students’ familiarization with musical folklore. Musical folklore has enormous potential, for both the aesthetic, moral education of students, and their musical development. It presents a special nationally distinctive musical language, a special emotional and educational sphere. The richest song culture, represented in particular by round dance and lyrical songs of the Mordovian and Russian peoples, is the most important means of forming vocal skills. Folk art is one of the sources of didactic material for the musical education of children due to its genre richness, melodic diversity, and rhythmic accessibility. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the process of forming students’ vocal skills on the example of studying round dance and lyrical songs in a polycultural educational environment. In the course of the study, we used dialectical, comparative, logical approaches, as well as a theoretical analysis of psychological, pedagogical, scientific and methodological literature. The paper deals with issues related to the formation of singing skills (breathing, sound science, sound production, diction) on the example of lyrical and round dance songs of the Russian and Mordovian peoples. It is worth noting the sufficient complexity of the musical and pedagogical activity in mastering the lyrical and round dance songs of the Russian and Mordovian peoples and the importance of forming speech and singing culture, vocal skills. |
