ORGANIZATION OF EDUCATIONAL WORK ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF LINGUOCULTURAL COMPETENCE OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

Annotation:

The article is devoted to the organization of educational work on the development of linguocultural competence of advanced stage international students. The article reveals the author’s understanding of linguocultural competence. Education is based on the principle of interrelation and interdependence of language and culture, which is manifested in linguistic units that carry culturally significant information (lexemes, idioms, paremias, aphorisms), reflecting the cultural codes of the nation: somatic, biomorphic, natural-spontaneous, temporal, spatial, artifactual, numerological, colorative, actional, spiritual. The nomenclature of units with a national-cultural component for classes with foreign students is determined in accordance with the lexical minimum; the selected units are distributed according to thematic criteria. The work is organized based on the lexical minimum of TORFL-3 (C1) and consists of four stages: (1) preparatory, containing selection, analysis and identification of the didactic value of language units (various methods of semantization, commenting), systematization of exercises and tasks; (2) the stage of classroom work, including updating, presentation of new material, training (exercises and tasks of a conditionally communicative and communicative nature, work with lexicographic sources, audio and video files, etc.), monitoring communication failures; (3) the stage of extracurricular work, which involves reading and listening to additional texts, performing communicative tasks based on models of real communication, taking into account the speech situation (place, time, characteristics of the communicants), the sphere, norms and traditions of communication accepted among native speakers of the Russian language; (4) the control stage, the focus of which is on checking the formation of linguocultural skills as a component of linguocultural competence. The work presents types, form and means of control.
