IMPACT OF MORAL AND ETHICAL QUALITIES OF A MENTOR ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL CULTURE AND COMPETENCE OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS

This article provides a multifaceted analysis of the impact of mentor’s moral and ethical qualities on students’ professional culture and competence. Through a review of existing scholarly literature, the article highlights not only the key mechanisms of the impact of these qualities, but also emphasizes the central role of the mentor in the educational system. Particular attention is paid to how the mentor, by serving as a role model, shapes students’ system of values and professional principles. The article does not limit itself to the theoretical, but also emphasizes the practical importance of creating a positive learning environment. It raises the question of how a mentor, with high moral character, is able to encourage open communication, respect for diversity of opinion, and critical thinking among students. Another key point is the importance of trust in the learning process. A mentor with good moral qualities is able to create an atmosphere, in which students feel confident, which in turn leads to better quality of education and higher academic performance. In addition, the article presents an innovative methodology to assess the impact of a mentor’s ethical and moral qualities on students’ professional development. This methodology is comprehensive and includes various research methods from questionnaires to observation and the 360-degree method. Such an approach allows for a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of how moral aspects affect different facets of learning. Overall, this article claims to be a meaningful contribution to the understanding of the role of the mentor`s moral and ethical qualities in the development of professional culture and competence of future specialists. It can serve as a basis for further research and practical applications in the educational sphere.
