Currently, AI and related technologies Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related technologies are now being used more and more widely. From the authors’ point of view, in this regard, there is every reason to expect dramatic changes in the coming decades, comparable in scale and depth to the transformations caused by the industrial revolutions of the past. From today’s perspective, one can claim that artificial intelligence provides a unique opportunity for the further development of the human community, while at the same time contributing to the strengthening of existing and the emergence of new risks. AI is increasingly being used in the educational process (the first mission of higher education institutions). AI is also used by universities to conduct scientific research (the second mission of the university). In addition, introduction and promotion of AI is important for the realization of the third mission of the university — impact on society. In this regard, the interaction of universities with IT-companies and relevant research centers, as well as support of projects and startups in the IT-sphere is of particular importance. According to the authors, the introduction of AI will ensure the adaptation of higher education to the realities of the modern world, and will greatly facilitate the transition to a non-linear model of educating and lifelong learning. At the same time, we cannot ignore the fact that AI carries potential risks that also affect higher education. During the work on the article, the authors used the methods of analysis, structuring and systematization of information. |
