The article presents an analysis of the significance
of using information technology in the educational process of
children in preschool educational institutions, based on the
works of several researchers. The study examines the possibilities,
challenges, and prospects of using information technology
in teaching older preschool children with visual impairments,
specifically in the formation and development of basic mathematical
concepts. The research hypothesis suggests that the development of
basic mathematical concepts in older preschool children with
visual impairments will be most effective when interactive information
technology tools are used, as this stimulates cognitive
interest and active participation in the educational process. The
integration of various types of mathematical activities using
interactive tools and game-based tasks contributes to positioning
preschoolers as active participants in the learning process.
An empirical study conducted at the municipal budgetary preschool
educational institution “Compensatory Kindergarten No. 49
‘Topolek’” for children with visual impairments in Pskov, involving
children, educators, and parents, revealed key socio-psychological
and pedagogical problems: speech difficulties (inability to express
thoughts), difficulties understanding tasks, lack of confidence,
underdeveloped logical and spatial thinking, errors in using numbers
after four, low motivation to complete tasks, and other issues.
To address these problems, an interactive lesson program
utilizing information technology tools was developed and implemented,
aligned with the curriculum for the development of basic
mathematical concepts for children aged 6-7 years. This program
created conditions for positioning the preschooler as an active
participant in the educational process through the integration of
various types of mathematical activities using interactive tools. |
