The challenges that the current geopolitical situation
continues to pose to our state place special demands on the
training of qualified personnel for domestic enterprises, including
in the higher education system.
The article considers topical aspects of the quality of Russian
education in the context of the current stage of socio-economic
development. The author does not share the standpoint of some representatives
of the academic community about the crisis in today’s
Russian higher education, but considers insufficient the actions to
improve the quality of higher education undertaken by both higher
education institutions themselves and the state. According to the
author, in order to deepen the analysis of the quality of Russian
higher education, it is advisable to separate the concepts of quality
of education and education quality assurance. He considers the
employers’ community to be the main stakeholder of quality of education,
which determines both the need to build an effective university–
employer dialogue and a thoughtful policy on these issues on
the part of the state bodies governing the domestic higher school.
The author’s recommendations, which relate to quality of
education insurance, are aimed primarily at a more thoughtful
and balanced use of the possibilities of digitalization of education
in the educational process. Regarding the assessment
of quality of education by state higher education management
bodies, it is recognized that there is an excessive emphasis on
the compliance of educational and methodological documentation
of higher educational institutions with the requirements
of Federal Educational Standards, especially in the presence
of approved professional standards prepared by the employer
community. In the organization and conduct of state accreditation
procedures, it is recognized that it is advisable to use
methods tested within the framework of professional and public
accreditation. |
