Modern educational trends are aimed at developing
students’ project competences and involving them in
project activities, starting from their junior years. However,
not all students have a sufficient level of motivation for this
kind of activity. They do not consider project activities as an
opportunity to develop and implement their own project. For
them, this is a way to get a positive grade in a test. According
to the authors of the article, the lack of vision of the possibilities
that this teaching method provides is associated with an
insufficient level of knowledge, skills and abilities in project
activities. In this regard, students feel unsure that they will
be able to develop and implement their own projects. The
article is devoted to the study of the influence of the use of
project-based teaching methods on students’ motivation for
project activities. The article examines the main stages of
project development in the process of studying the discipline,
as well as the results of applying the project-based teaching
method. To achieve the set goal, a questionnaire survey
was conducted among students majoring in Innovation at the
Department of Innovation in Chemical Technology of Kazan National Research Technological University. The survey
showed that studying the discipline Fundamentals of Project
Activities by students, as well as developing their own projects,
contribute to the development of students’ motivation to
further submit their projects for funding for their implementation.
Understanding the essence of project activity and its
main tools allows students to achieve their goals with greater
confidence in success. |
