Currently, the number of fitness centers is steadily
growing; the country is acquiring a cult of health, which entails
the constant appearance of job vacancies in the specialty of a gym
instructor. In the conditions of modern competition, workers in the
field of physical culture have a need to improve their experience.
Based on the Federal State Educational Standards, the professional
standards of the coach, as well as on the data of other authors,
including foreign ones, and our own professional experience as
gym instructors, we concluded that the existing professional development
programs do not fully solve the professional tasks that a specialist faces. In the conducted research, the competence model
of designing and implementing a training program for gym instructors
was theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified,
which consisted of block-modular training programs ensuring
the productivity of their professional activities. The study involved
2 groups of students, a control and an experimental groups (based
on VForme Fitness Clubs in Tula and Novomoskovsk of the Tula
region), 15 people each. The levels of knowledge of theoretical
and practical training courses were revealed, and the formation
of practical skills was tested, which reflects the level of formation
of professional competences. As a result of the experiment, the
indicators of testing the level of knowledge of the theoretical and
practical course of study, as well as testing the level of formation of
practical skills in the experimental group turned out to be significantly
higher compared with the control group (p < 0.05 for almost
all criteria). The authors found that the experimental competence
model of designing and implementing a training program for gym
instructors has shown effectiveness in the practical activities of
trainers, which makes it possible to introduce it into educational
institutions for advanced training courses for gym instructors and
personal fitness trainers, as well as to review and approve professional
standards for these areas of training. |
