The publication based on the materials of the
conducted research examines the features of the development
of intercultural communication skills among young students,
taking into account the experience of universities in Russia
and China. The emphasis is on the role of the linguistic personality
and the application of digital technologies. The article
is based on the analysis of some approaches to vocational
education and takes into account the results of a survey of 100
students from three universities in Russia and China. The connection
between the formation of a linguistic personality, the
level of formation of intercultural communication skills and
the use of digital technologies is revealed. The results of the
work show that the linguistic personality is ready to successfully
express thoughts, is tolerant to understand others, and
build communication in various directions when adapting and
working in multicultural teams. Virtual platforms for communication
and online learning, as an example of digital technology,
helps to consolidate the language skills of intercultural
communication and increases the confidence of young students
as members of multicultural teams. The developed educational
strategies have become the basis of the experience gained
in this area at universities in Russia and China. This kind of
experience presupposes the presence of a certain educational
environment of the university with a multicultural background
and a special unique assessment system: testing, questionnaires,
readiness monitoring, control, analysis, correction and
development of prospects. The mentioned strategies are aimed
at improving students’ adaptation to the language learning environment and provide empirical support in studying the
characteristics of the development of intercultural communication
skills. We are confident that relying on the experience of
universities and the development level of students` language
personality will ensure effective adaptation of students to the
educational environment, teamwork and qualitatively increase
the level of intercultural communication skills development,
both during training and during professional activity. |
