In the context of digitalization and technologization,
the requirements set by the modern society to the higher
school graduates are changing, putting the need to develop students’
info-communication skills in the first place. Information
culture acts as an organic component of such skills, the formation
of which is a condition of competitiveness of a future
specialist. Project activity is considered as a means of forming
information culture of higher school students.
In the course of the study, the theoretical methods of analyzing
pedagogical, psychological and methodological literature
on the topic of the article, as well as descriptive research method
aimed at identifying the characteristics of project activity
and information culture significant for the study were used.
The concept of information culture as one of the supporting
civilized tools of understanding the modern surrounding world
has been considered. The work on studying the project activity of
higher school students, the main elements and stages of its implementation
in the conditions of computerization has been carried
out. Theoretical study and analysis of scientific literature allowed
to establish that the implementation of project activity occurs
at three main levels: value, creative and practical. It has been
established that time constraint, uniqueness and stage-by-stage realization stand out as distinctive features of project activity.
HADI methodology and its potential are described through the
prism of its use in project activities as an important component of
the process of formation of students’ information culture.
The new approach to the consideration of project activity
as a means of forming students’ information culture, which is a
component of info-communication skills, allows preparing future
