This article addresses one of the most pressing issues in modern school education – the development of communicative universal learning activities (ULAs) among 5th-grade students. The research focuses on Russian language lessons within the key section “Syntax.” The authors provide a detailed analysis of the current state of syntax teaching methodology and identify significant gaps related to organizing effective communicative activities for schoolchildren. Particular critical emphasis is placed on the insufficient development of practical exercises specifically designed to foster productive speech interaction in pairs and small groups. As part of a large-scale experimental study conducted at MAOU Secondary School No. 24 in Armavir, a specialized pedagogical set of exercises was methodically developed and systematically tested. This complex includes various types of tasks aimed at simultaneously developing oral communication (formulating judgments, building arguments, public speaking techniques) and written speech (creating coherent texts, editing statements). Tasks focused on organizing collaborative learning activities are of particular methodological value: role distribution within a group, cooperation to achieve a common goal, and conducting peer review and mutual assessment. The high practical effectiveness of systematically applying the proposed complex has been proven. Results from control assessments indicate a statistically significant increase in the level of communicative ULAs among students in the experimental group compared to the control group. The proposed methodology holds significant practical potential and can be recommended for widespread implementation in mainstream secondary school practice. Its application not only enhances the process of teaching Russian language but also contributes to the comprehensive development of students’ communicative competence, fully aligning with the current requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Basic General Education. |
