MODEL OF FORMING VALUE ORIENTATIONS IN OLDER PRESCHOOLERS THROUGH FOLKLORE

Annotation:

The article describes in detail the pedagogical model of forming value orientations in older preschoolers through folklore, which is a system consisting of three main blocks: conceptual and target-oriented, organizational and content-focused, and assessment and outcome-based. The conceptual and target-oriented block includes scientific approaches (activity-based, axiological, and cultural-historical). It also includes the goal (forming the value orientations in older preschoolers through folklore) and the objectives (familiarizing them with basic national spiritual and moral values; forming their understanding of moral qualities; developing a positive attitude towards national spiritual and moral values; and creating a situation where they can identify values and choose value orientations for their future actions). The organizational and content-focused block includes stages, tasks, and means (fairy tales, folk games, songs, proverbs, rituals, and other forms of folklore) to achieve the set goal and reflects the process of forming value orientations in older preschoolers through folklore. The assessment and outcome-based block contains diagnostic tools (the “Three Wishes” test by A. M. Prikhozhan, N. N. Tolstykh, and the “Story Pictures” test by R. R. Kalinina), criteria, and indicators of the formation of value orientations in the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects. The pedagogical model will be tested through the implementation of an experimental program, which should result in a high level of value orientation among older preschoolers who are familiar with and positive about basic national spiritual and moral values, as well as able to demonstrate moral qualities in situations of choice. The model is based on the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the formation of value orientations in older preschoolers through folklore, which include the creation of a developing environment and the involvement of parents in folklorerelated activities to create a unified educational space.
