Annotation:

The problem of preschool children’s adaptation remains relevant. The adaptation process is strongly influenced by a large number of factors. One of them is the organization of theatrical activities of preschoolers within the framework of Cossack-oriented associations, which are being revived, including in the Zaporozhye region. The purpose of the article is to analyze the socio-cultural potential of theatrical activities for the tasks of adaptation of preschoolers. In accordance with the purpose, the following research tasks were set and solved: 1) theoretical analysis of the socio-cultural potential of theatrical activities for the tasks of preschool children’s adaptation; 2) psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of the effectiveness of socio-cultural adaptation. The reliability and validity of the data obtained is ensured by theoretical analysis of scientific literature, analysis of pedagogical practice, pedagogical observations, methods of psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, pedagogical games, analysis of statistical data, and the scoring method. The use of diagnostic, psychological and pedagogical methods in working with preschoolers has made it possible to establish that the means of theatrical activities in the form of Cossack-oriented associations have proven their effectiveness. The positive dynamics is demonstrated. The analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature made it possible to clarify the role and essence of socio-cultural adaptation of preschoolers, and to determine the necessary pedagogical conditions for this. As a result of the conducted research, the forms of organization of theatrical activities of preschoolers were systematized. It is concluded that theatrical activities have a wide developing potential for organizing the educational process. The conducted empirical research allowed us to establish that the applied methods of adaptation have proven their effectiveness.
