THE GREAT VICTORY IN THE DIGITAL “BOOK OF MEMORY”: TECHNOLOGIES FOR PRESERVING HISTORICAL MEMORY AND THE EDUCATION OF PATRIOTISM

Annotation:

Modern digital technologies are becoming the most important tool for preserving historical memory and forming patriotic values among young people. This article examines the experience of implementing the innovative digital project “Book of Memory”, aimed at perpetuating the historical legacy of the Great Patriotic War through interactive educational technologies. The research is based on the analysis of the results of the practical activities of students and teachers of Kazan Innovative University named after V. G. Timiryasov in the framework of this project. The methodological basis consisted of a comprehensive analysis of scientific literature, study of project materials, observation of participants and systematization of the data obtained. The project brought together more than 70% of the university’s students and 30% of its faculty, resulting in the creation of 361 interactive pages, including 352 QR codes with archival materials. The collected information covers 163 settlements in Russia, reflecting the multinational nature of the feat of the Soviet people. Of particular importance is the transformation of the perception of history by young people from abstract facts to personally significant experiences through the study of their family archives and biographies of their ancestors. The digital platform promotes the formation of an emotional bond between generations, the development of historical empathy and the strengthening of national identity. The results of the study confirm the high effectiveness of digital technologies in patriotic education, demonstrating the possibilities of modern educational resources in preserving the cultural heritage of the nation.
