This article examines the classification of electronic storage media used as electronic evidence in criminal proceedings. With rapid technological development and increasing volumes of digital data, the need for effective classification of electronic storage media is becoming increasingly urgent. The digital world demands high network bandwidth, enhanced computing power, and the continuous improvement of information platforms and services. Recent years have witnessed the rapid development of technologies related to data processing and transmission. Key areas of development include next-generation wireless communications, artificial intelligence algorithms, blockchain technology, biometric identification, advanced electronic payment systems, and big data processing. This article examines the classification of electronic storage media, such as hard drives, flash drives, and cloud storage services. In today’s digital world, information exists in various formats: text documents, audio, video, and graphic files, among many others. Each type of data requires an individual approach to classification. Proper data classification helps organize information, which in turn facilitates its retrieval, processing, and management. Organizing data allows for more efficient processing, which ultimately leads to increased productivity. The author believes that the presented findings and proposals are important for the classification of electronic storage media. They can serve as a starting point for new research that will enable information technology specialists to develop more sophisticated methods for classifying electronic data. This will improve the efficiency of information processing and optimize its processing. |
